LADIES, learn to fly fish with Glenda Powell, Irelands top female fly casting instructor, and Mark Corps, game angling advisor with the Central Fisheries Board.

Two, Ladies Only, one day fly fishing courses in aid of Action Breast Cancer are being organised by the Eastern Regional Fisheries Board to be held in the months of May and October 2009.
Sat’; 16/05/2009: Rathcon Trout Fishery, Grangecon, Co. Wicklow.
Sat’; 10/10/2009: Annamoe Trout Fishery, Annamoe, Co. Wicklow.

Registration on the day will take place between 10.00 – 10.30am. The course will consist of casting theory, practice, and fly casting.
There will be a break for lunch, provided by the Fishery, then off to the lake to catch some beautiful Rainbow Trout.
All fishing gear will be provided, but please bring wet weather clothing, wellingtons, and sunglasses to protect your eyes when casting.
There is no fee to pay for the course, instead participants are being asked to make a donation by cash or cheque to Action Breast Cancer, on arrival.

The Eastern Regional Fisheries Board is a statutory authority whose function is to conserve, develop, protect, manage and promote the inland fisheries and sea angling resources within its jurisdiction. The Region extends from the border in Northern Ireland to south of the Wexford coast and includes all catchments which enter the sea between these boundaries.
