Fishing Report

07 December 2006

Corkagh Park Fishery, Clondalkin

We've had an extraordinarily super week on the trout lake this week. Paddy McLoughlin and Gerry Jervis from Rory's Tackle Shop in Temple Bar were fishing on the lake. Between them they caught 20 trout to 9lbs. Our Tuesday regulars - Pepe, Sammy, Luca and Brian - had over 26 trout, with Brian Payne having 14 of them. Mike Slattery also caught three nice trout and lost six. Zonkers, Buzzers and Cats Whiskers were the most popular flies.

Unfortunately with the bad weather we didn't hold the first leg of the winter league on Sunday Dec 3rd last week but for those anglers who were on the lake all caught fish (in the 100 mph winds!). The Winter League will be going ahead next Saturday 9th instead.

On the carp lake there is still some nice fish being caught and to keep the fish moving we are feeding the lake every two days with approx 2 gallons of pellets. Last year this was very successful and hopefully this year it will be a good approach too."
