CALLING ALL SMALL BOAT ANGLERS!

Calling all Irish small Boat anglers!

The Eastern Regional Fisheries Board would like to remind all small boat anglers about the upcoming 22nd Annual Rosslare Small Boats Festival taking place on Saturday 8th September until Saturday 15th September in Rosslare, Co. Wexford.

Sponsored by Failte Ireland, Sea Angler magazine and Daiwa Sports Ltd, UK and supported by the Central and Eastern Fisheries Boards, this popular competition attracts more than 90 UK small boat anglers and provides the perfect opportunity to promote the excellent sea fishing available on Ireland’s Southeast coast. The competition is open to all anglers so don’t forget to sign up as soon as possible.

The competition will be run over 4 days (weather permitting) as a species hunt. Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford will be the chosen venue (again weather permitting). There is a fantastic array of prizes on offer including fishing equipment products as well as substantial monetary prizes and engraved plaques. Steve Mills (Gosport and District Sea Angling Club) and Dave Timms from Portsmouth won for the second year running last year with 20 species recorded giving a total weight of 10.54 kgs.
