Bord Iascaigh Réigiúnach an Oirthir
The Eastern Regional Fisheries Board has adopted a proactive role with regard to education projects and programmes. In order to ensure the future of angling and the environment, it is vital that we educate and encourage young people on all aspects of angling from Ireland’s variety of fish species to the lifecycle of a salmon to water quality issues. The Board uses a number of tools to promote angling in schools including the teachers resource ‘Something Fishy’ and the ‘Ireland’s Fish Species’ booklet.
