Of great interest to anglers and available free from the Central Fisheries Board is a quarterly magazine fin; fisheries ireland news. This is the offical newsletter of the Fisheries Boards, and explores issues that effect inland fisheries and sea angling in Ireland. Details of the works being carried out by the seven Regional Fisheries Boards will also be featured. The newsletter is edited by Eamon Cusack, and is freely available from any of the Fisheries Boards.
Issue of 7 of FIN, Fisheries Ireland News, is now out and as usual is available free of charge.
In this issue of FIN we can see the numerous new and exciting initiatives the Fisheries Boards are involved with. Moving with the times in necessary in the fast changing world we live in and the Fisheries Boards have and will rise to meet the challenge. Despite inevitable change and development the focus of the Boards remains firmly on fish, angling and the aquatic environment.
Covered in this issue is the recent 25 year celebration of the Central and Regional Fisheries Boards, Invasive algae ion Lough Corrib, Something Fishy and an article about the Dublin Angling Initiative and local community joint development of Darndale Fishing Pond.
